Introduction

This campground is huge with over 400 sites. It's located near the OHV use area and seems popular as a base camp. We saw many sites with ATVs and dirt bikes.
Although the park is big it's pretty easy to navigate. We saw rigs of all sizes here. You'll want to check your specific site and rig size since the site size did seem to vary a bit.
Insider Information

There was more of a party feel to this campground but not overly so. We saw many sites that had large groups of people staying near each other.
Since the campground was pretty noisy with kids and OHV during the day, we were worried about the noise at night. Things settled down and we didn't experience any disturbances after dark.
The facilities were nice and more modern with flush toilets and showers.
There is also a large sand dune next to the lake which is fun to play on.
The lake looks like it rents kayaks and we would use them if we return.
Even though the price was a bit expensive for us, we'd stay at this park again.

Camping

We stayed in site #363 and it was pretty level. We did have water and electric hookups but didn't use them. We were also a short walk from the bathrooms and showers.

We were able to walk the campground and the short hikes to the dunes right from our site.
Amenities

Each loop had a decent sized bathhouse with flush toilets and showers. The buildings and fixtures were modern and seemed well kept.
Everything was pretty clean. We learned that the park rangers are responsible for cleaning rather than the camp host.
The visitor center was in a yurt near the middle of the campground. It was pretty small but did offer information on the campground and surrounding area. They also had firewood for sale.
Activities

OHV riding seems like the activity of choice here. We watched them riding on the dunes for a bit and it looked like they could access the OHV area from the campground.
We took a short hike from the campground to the sand dunes.
Nearby

There is lots to do and see on the Oregon coast. We drove north on highway 101 and stopped whenever we saw a pull out. Some of the pull outs were marked on Google Maps and some were not.
Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is nearby and offers tours of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is also a great place to watch for migrating whales in the fall and spring. We also saw an amazing sunset.
